Fans of the Boston Celtics have been understandably distracted by the team winning its NBA-record 18th title this week, with all of the pomp and circ*mstance such an achievement brings with it. Reveling in the moment of the City of Boston’s Celtics 2024 NBA Championship duck boat parade, most fans of the storied ball club have not even given the looming 2024 NBA draft a moment’s thought.
And for the fans, that is more than okay. But for the Celtics’ front office, such a footing would be franchise management malpractice of the highest degree, especially considering Boston’s need for cheap supporting players with upside.
But the Celtics’ front office has indeed been hard at work working out prospects for their Nos. 30 and 54 selections.
